The Running Academy's mission is to motivate and educate young male and female athletes. We believe with proper instruction and lessons of hard work, dedication and positive mental attitude, athletes can improve and reach their own personal goals. Whether you are a All American or an athlete new to the sport, The Running Academy private training can help anyone with an interest in improving their performances.
Track and field and cross country are sports where athletes of all abilities can improve and build self esteem and independence. Our expert instructors hope to introduce you into the one of the greatest sports in the world.

Marty Ogden
Running Academy Coach
After stints at Danbury and Weston High Schools along with two years at Sacred Heart University, Coach Ogden has built winners where ever he has coached. Weston has finished top two in their class meet, seven out of the nine years he was head XC coach.
While at Weston HS he was as assistant track coach who was instrumental in developing many championship athletes and teams including multiple conference champions and class meet scorers, four class pole vault champions and multiple state open champions in distance events. Coach Ogden is also USATF Level I certified and Level II certified in the throws.
He was named CT High School Coaches Association Coach of the Year and a finalist for National Cross Country Coach of the Year in 2011. Previously he was head coach at Danbury for track and cross country and coached five state open championship teams and was named Cross Country and Track Coach of the Year by the CT Track Coaches Association. Marty is also active as a track official, meet announcer and part of the broadcast team for the NFHS Network.
